Specialist Expertise
Cataract surgery
Minimal anaesthesia, small incision phaco surgery with the use of the most advanced multifocal and accommodative lens implants to avoid the need for reading glasses after cataract surgery and hence restore youthful vision. This may be combined with corneal laser treatment if necessary.
Refractive surgery
Myopia (short sightedness), hyperopia (long sightedness), astigmatism (irregular shaped cornea) and presbyopia (age related weakness of near vision) can be corrected with the aid of a number of techniques. Mr Saeed has special interest in presbyopia treatments.
- LASIK (Laser In situ Keratomileusis)
- Epi LASEK (Laser Epithelial Keratomileusis).
- ICL or PIOL (Implantable Contact Lens or Phakic Intraocular Lens such as AMO Verisyse, Veriflex).
- RLE (Refractive Lens Exchange)
- PRELEX (Presbyopic Lens Exchange)
- CK (Conductive Keratoplasty)
The choice of surgical options is determined by the type and level of refractive error, your lifestyle, age and technical parameters measured during detailed assessment.
Vitreoretinal Surgery
Microsurgery on vitreous and retina is used for the disorders of posterior segment of the eye. Common conditions include retinal detachment, macular hole, epiretinal membrane, floaters, complicated cataract surgery and complicated diabetic eye disease.
