Blepharoplasty

BLEPHAROPLASTY is an operation commonly performed on upper eyelids whereby overhanging skin which may be cosmetically unacceptable or interfering with vision, can be removed.

What causes this?

Ageing and lack of elasticity in the skin causes this problem to a different degree for many people. Eyelid treatment is one of the most common types of cosmetic surgery and can be performed without the need for stitching but by using special surgical glue. Under local anaesthetic, this is normally a day surgery treatment. Blepharoplasty as a cosmetic operation is not available on The NHS.
